57% of brokers want EU stay

Over half (57%) of brokers want the UK to remain part of the European Union, an MTF poll has indicated.

Just half that number again (29%) wanted a Brexit, with the rest (14%) unsure which way they will vote.

The EU referendum vote will take place on 23 June 2016.

Tomer Aboody, director of MTF, said: “Ultimately, it will be difficult for both brokers and lenders to prepare for the challenges that would arise from changes to the market brought about a UK exit of the European Union, when so much still remains unclear. For MTF, the key is to remain flexible, proactive and pragmatic, whatever the outcome.”

The majority of brokers (44%) were undecided if property prices would rise if the UK becomes independent, however 57% believe interest rates will rise if the UK votes for a Brexit.
