LendInvest Capital expands fund management team

The company’s team has grown rapidly in the last year from 30 to 100 employees.

LendInvest Capital, the fund management and advisory division of LendInvest, has appointed Jesse Mosebye from Scotiabank to join its expanding team.

He joins LendInvest from Scotiabank where he spent five years in the European Capital Introductions team building investor relationships for the prime brokerage team’s hedge fund and asset management clients.

He will work closely with Carl Giannotta, associate director, to broaden the team’s investor relationships among larger institutions including hedge funds, FoHFs and asset managers.

LendInvest has now originated over £640m of loans for borrowers seeking mortgage finance on terms lasting up to three years.

The company’s team has grown rapidly in the last year from 30 to 100 employees, and has attracted £39m in equity investment from two significant international investors, Beijing Kunlun and Atomico.

LendInvest Capital, formerly Montello, has specialised in direct and secured real estate lending strategies since 2008.

The team manages over £85m in two discretionary funds on behalf of institutional investors, banks, family offices and private clients located throughout the UK, Europe and Asia.

LendInvest Capital’s flagship fund, the Real Estate Opportunity Fund, is a Luxembourg-based SICAV which has returned between 8% and 10% each year since inception.

LendInvest Capital is expanding its team to accommodate growing investor interest.

March 2016 was a record-breaking month for the team with total FUM increasing by 12% during the month.
