KLC appoints Richard Bowden as interim CIO

Property development and investment business Key Land Capital has appointed Richard Bowden as interim chief information officer.

In addition, Bradley Walker has joined as a surveyor and Marie Livesey has been promoted to the role of associate director.

Bowden's role includes focusing on delivering an innovative new property investment offering, based on Blockchain technology.

He will also support the company’s growth and development through the implementation of targeted and strategic priorities.

Bowden's previous experience includes being a director at Ernest & Young and at Santander, where he was director of processes and change.

Walker joined from British Land, where he spent a year as a portfolio analyst following two years on the graduate scheme.

He qualified as a chartered surveyor in June of this year after gaining his MRICS accreditation.

Walker is also a member of the Pathways to Property Alumni, an initiative aimed at widening access to the real estate profession.

He will be responsible for implementing asset management and property management initiatives, and in his day-to-day role will cover a range of key property disciplines.

Livesey has been promoted to associate director with the aim to develop long, medium and short-term asset management strategies and investment plans for the Birmingham-based company’s property portfolio.

She will lead on the maintenance of assets, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal frameworks, in addition to the efficient procurement of external maintenance services and materials.

Livesey is also responsible for all tenant services, day-to-day repairs of properties, and the potential acquisition of new assets.

Kevin Sharkey, managing director at Key Land Capital, said: “This is an exciting new era for Key Land Capital and we have some excellent developments in the pipeline.

"Promoting Marie to a new role and bringing on board people of the caliber of Richard and Bradley puts us in a very strong position to deliver our growth strategy.

“We are focusing on reaching a new audience for our property investment opportunities by embracing cutting edge technology and taking advantage of the digital transformation of the property industry.

"We are positioning ourselves as innovators and disrupters within the industry.”
