MAF makes second director appointment of the month

Financial services broker Midlands Asset Finance (MAF) has recruited its newest director, as it looks to increase its coverage in the Midlands.

Based in Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire, Paul Richardson (pictured) joins MAF as sales director, Midlands region, and will work with his team to help businesses with their asset finance and property finance requirements.

Richardson spent over 10 years at Santander, seven as a senior manager, and prior to that spent 14 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland as an area development manager.

He is the second director to join MAF this month, with Mark Lawson becoming the newest director of healthcare two weeks ago, as MAF continues to grow.

Richardson said: “Since starting my career in banking 28 years ago, I have always had a desire to support SME owners meet their ambitions by working with them to simplify their access to finance.

“The opportunity to join an established team like MAF allows me to use my knowledge and skills to support even more SMEs with finance options and spread the service of MAF across the business community.”

Dave Chapman, director, head of sales and property, added: "Paul brings with him a wealth of experience in all aspects of banking and property finance and will lead the Midlands team as we continue to grow to help more businesses achieve their goals.

"Paul is supported by Mike Chapman and Simon Lort in the East and West Midlands to deliver asset finance, invoice discounting and all aspects of property finance to meet the needs of our customers."
