Redwood Bank has been granted a banking licence from the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority.

The bank will offer secured SME lending products to owner occupied businesses, as well as to experienced commercial and residential property investors later this year.

It applied for the licence last October.

Warrington Borough Council has a 33% stake in the bank, while Redwood’s product range will be launched later in 2017.
